We agree fees upfront and clearly explain what is included before any work begins. You have the option to only pay for services you need as and when, ideal if you don’t like a fixed fee each month or for one off projects. Or we can offer you a fixed monthly package to include everything you need throughout the year.
Termination period is only 30 days. We do not believe in tying clients into long, restrictive contracts. Our focus is on building long term relationships by providing a good service, rather than relying on lock ins. If things are not working as expected, we will always aim to address that with you openly and fairly.
Most of our new clients already have an accountant, so this is something we are used to handling. All accountants transition data and information via a Professional Clearance Letter. We will guide you through the process, liaise with your previous accountant where needed, and aim to make the transition as smooth as possible with minimal disruption to your business.
We take care of the accounting and compliance work agreed with you, such as bookkeeping support, accounts preparation, filings, and ongoing advice where required. Your role is usually to provide accurate information and respond swifty to queries when needed. We will make it clear from the outset what we handle and what we need from you.
You will have a dedicated point of contact (bookkeeper or accountant depending on the services you have chosen) who understands your business. Behind the scenes, your accountant may work with the wider team where appropriate, but you will not be passed around or left unsure who to speak to.
During office hours we generally respond to emails and calls on the same day, unless your request is very near the end of the day or your dedicated point of contact is ill or on holiday. We aim to be responsive and approachable, and we understand how frustrating slow replies can be. Response times can vary depending on the nature of the query and the time of year, but we make a point of replying promptly and keeping communication clear.
If you are ever unhappy, we would want you to tell us as soon as possible. Most issues can be resolved quickly once they are raised. We take feedback seriously and will always try to address concerns fairly and professionally.
Once you get in touch, we will arrange an initial conversation to understand your situation and what you are looking for. From there, we will outline how we can help, discuss next steps, and confirm any fees or arrangements before moving forward.
Yes, the initial consultation is free. It is an opportunity to discuss your business, understand your needs, and see whether we are the right fit for each other. There is no obligation to engage our services.
Joining part way through the year is very common and not a problem. We will review your current position, coordinate with your previous accountant if necessary, and ensure there is a clear and orderly handover.
You do not need to be based in London. We work with clients across the UK and globally, and much of the work can be handled remotely using digital records and cloud systems.
We work with all the main accounting software packages and are happy to use your existing system where appropriate. If you are not currently using software, or if a different setup would suit your business better, we can advise on suitable options.
There is no requirement to meet in person. Many clients choose to work entirely online, although in person meetings can be arranged if they would be helpful.
We work with businesses at a wide range of stages, from early startups through to more established small and medium sized businesses. If you are unsure whether your business is the right fit, the initial consultation is a good way to find out.
